Judy Moore has been Director of Music at Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach DE for 15 years. Judy conducts vocal choirs and bell choirs. Judy has just retired from conducting the Delaware Choral Society (DCS) in Dover, DE after 19 years. The community chorus celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2006-2007. DCS commissioned a piece from Michael Helman, called From Harmony, for chorus, orchestra and bells. Judy has her master’s degree in music from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. She earned her Bachelor’s in music from Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, IL. She does extensive work in choral and orchestral arranging. Judy has played bells and conducted bell choirs for over 30 years. She enjoys the choirs, the festivals, the classes, meeting ringers from all over, and training new ringers. As DE State Chair, Judy hopes to contact all members to get in touch, ask about the status quo of the bell choirs, get a feel for the needs and concerns, and encourage participation in Area III events.
