A handbell ringer for twenty-one years, Stan has served on the AGEHR National
Board of Directors, its executive and personnel committees, and most recently as
its Finance Chairman. He also served as treasurer and board member of the
National Chamber Orchestra. Author of a series of fifteen columns published in
Overtones, titled “From Behind the Table,” he is a licensed amateur radio
operator and a collector of US presidential autographs. He rang for ten years with Capital Carillon, an auditioned community handbell choir founded and directed by his
wife, Ann, a former Chair of Area III.
