Ken Bissell directs two handbell choirs at
Centreville United Methodist Church in Centreville, VA. He is a past Area III
Chair for the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers, Inc. Over the past 30
years he has led numerous workshops and festivals throughout the United States
and Canada. Ken received a BS in Music Education from the University of New
Hampshire and a MA in Choral Conducting from George Mason University, where he
served as Assistant Choral Conductor. He has studied composing and arranging for
handbells at Westminster Choir College and has developed handbell programs at
several Northern Virginia churches. Ken has also taught public school choral and
instrumental music in New England, Virginia and Maryland.
