Bettsy Wermine

Bettsy has been the Festival Registrar for Area III since 1998. She previously served Area III as District Chair, Maryland State Chair, and Youth Festival Chair. She is the handbell director at Centenary United Methodist Church in Shady Side, Maryland, and her youth choirs have performed at the White House, Kennedy Center, and Walt Disney World in Florida. She is also a member of Centenary’s chancel choir and gospel ensemble. Other interests include camping, kayaking, and visiting family in Texas, Louisiana, and her in-laws in England and Wales. Bettsy earned a B.A. from the University of Maryland, and has been the Controller of her husband’s contracting business for over 25 years. She has two grown daughters, a registered nurse and a doctor, and she and her husband divide their time between their homes in West River, Maryland and Palm Coast, Florida.
