Welcome to "RingTouch"--the new e-mail newsletter from Area III AGEHR. "RingTouch" will supplement the quarterly Area III "Bell-O-Gram" publication, providing timely information for members and friends of Area III. Each monthly "RingTouch" will include updates on Area III news and events with web links to specific information--and notes from around Area III.

News!

  • Directors' Seminar/Read and Ring sessions will be offered at 3 locations in August
         (publicity mailed in a peach brochure).
     
    Last year's successful Read and Ring Events have been expanded to include a Directors' Seminar component. Morning sessions (9 a.m.-noon) will be geared for directors-one track for beginning directors and another for experienced directors. The afternoon reading sessions (1-4 p.m.) are for directors and ringers.

  • Area III Youth Handbell Festival - November 18-19, 2005 (publicity mailed in a blue brochure)
    Greater Richmond Convention Center, Richmond, Virginia
     
    Clinician - Katryn Howell, of Campanile (a cutting edge Los Angeles-based handbell ensemble) fame…also a fine conductor in her own right.
    New features: Pre-registration for both of these special events is required.
    • Ring for the Pros - Choirs may perform a prepared piece for well-respected professionals and receive comments and kudos.
    • Cup Stacking Tournament - in addition to classes on this hot new skill, a friendly Friday evening tournament will be offered.

  • Area III 2006 Spring Festival Conferences
    "Bells and Instruments" is the unifying theme for the 2006 Area III Spring Festival Conferences - yet each location offers unique opportunities. High quality classes, first rate clinicians, Genesis Tracks, Intergenerational Choirs, Bronze Conference Choir, Bronze Division, Festival Choirs (for lone ringers), class-only/ringing-only options, inspiring performances, quality vendors with music/gifts/and "all-things-bells" are among many delightful options to fill your festival weekend.
