Area III Fall 2006 Directors' Seminar

Dr. Deborah Carr, from Columbia, Missouri, will be the clinician. Friday night, she will lead a reading session and Saturday she will do workshops with her emphasis on "Ringing to Bronze." Dottie Tweedie, director of the James River Ringers, will teach 2 special sessions for Beginners as well.
- A Pre-Seminar is offered Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. -
WHY WE LOVE HANDBELLS: The Psychology and Sociology of Ringing.
- The Seminar then begins Friday evening with registration from 6:00-7:00 and a Reading Session from 7:00-9:00 followed by a reception. Saturday’s sessions feature four different topic sessions (with 2 pull-out sessions for Beginning Directors.) Please check the Website for an up-to-date schedule.
Mentors will be available for any interested participants. Just note this on the registration form.

Youth Ringers Unite in Richmond, Virginia!!!
Once again, Jason Wells, director of Ring of Fire, will be leading the Area III youth in grades 7 through 12 for a weekend of inspired ringing and extensive learning at the Area III 2006 Youth Festival, November 17-18, 2006. This event will be held at the Richmond Convention Center again, with housing at the Downtown Historic Richmond Marriott right across the street.

Look ahead to Area III Spring Festivals 2007
Area III will offer 2 Spring Festivals in Spring 2007: one in Hampton, Virginia and the other in Ocean City, Maryland. Masterful composer and accomplished conductor Arnold Sherman is the massed conductor for both events. Event details and other site-specific offerings will be listed online soon at www.areaiii.org - click on Events, Adult Festivals.
Spring Festival Brochures (with detailed information and registration materials) will be mailed with in a packet with the September Bell-o-Grams.
