Spring Festivals
--A report on Ocean City from Linda Simms, Ocean City Festival Chair

The 2008 Ocean City Festival on March 7-8 was another example of a great ringing and learning event in Area III.  There were over 500 participants who gathered at the Roland Powell Convention Center to join in the experience with Sue Berry as our clinician, and Kath Wissinger as our Genesis clinician.  The many classes covered a wide variety of topics from techniques to change ringing, conducting, and children's' choirs and so much more.  Old friendships were rekindled, and new ones begun.  The festival "experience" is difficult to describe in words.  You just have to be there to see the joy on the faces and the excitement of putting it all together.   Plan on attending next year!

Next year's Ocean City Festival will be March 13-14 with Michael Kastner, clinician. Put it on your calendars NOW!

Hampton Area III Festival coming up!

Registrations are still being accepted for the Hampton, Va. 2008 Area III Spring Festival. Remember that a classes-only option is also offered.   For schedules, registration forms, repertoire and more details, go to: http://www.areaiii.org/events/festivals2008/spring_brochure.htm
