Welcome to RingTouch - Area III's online newsletter keeping English Handbell aficionados in touch and up-to-date. Area III represents Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia and North Carolina for the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR.)

    Now is the time to get in gear and start ringing Festival music! Area III Festivals offer Genesis tracks for Advanced Beginning groups, a wide range of classes for all levels in many interesting topics, massed ringing experience second to none under experienced clinicians.  All information, registration and contact information is available at this link.  Encourage your choir to participate in a Festival - the ringers will come home invigorated and inspired.

    Bravissimo is targeted for advanced community and performing groups.

Ringing at the Springs

A mid-winter weekend retreat for Intermediate and Advanced handbell choirs and ringers. Early bird registration deadline - Feb. 9, 2009. There are 8 pieces in the repertoire for Levels 2-4 and for 3-5 octaves. Please prepare the 3 pieces for massed ringing and select at least 3 additional pieces to fit your choir and ringing preferences. You may ring 6 or all 8!  The workshop begins with Friday dinner and ends following worship and lunch on Sunday. The repertoire for the weekend will be the foundation for our closing worship, and friends and family are invited to Stewart Hall for this worship service.

Redeemer Classical School Handbell Festival

April 22, 2009 - 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Massanetta Springs Conference Center
Harrisonburg, Va. (Shenandoah Valley)

This event sponsored by Redeemer Classical School is geared for middle and high school aged ringers. A fun day of ringing at Massanetta Springs will close with a concert free and open to the public. Kath Wissinger will direct. Tables, chairs and a wonderful buffet lunch are provided with registration. Four 3-5 oct. Level 2/ or 2+ pieces on the repertoire: Grand Entry, Colors of the Wind, Mountain Springs and Chopsticks and How!

Registration is free for one director per choir, $20 per student, and $10 per chaperone and additional director.
